LONDON - A woman found deceased is believed to be the missing Chinese student, said London police Wednesday.

The police said officers investigating the disappearance of the Chinese national visited an address in Westminster early Wednesday morning and found a woman deceased.

Yan Sihong, 35, from King's College London, was reported missing on Monday.

"Formal identification has not yet taken place, but officers believe that the deceased woman is Miss Yan," said a police statement, adding that the death is being treated as non-suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

The Chinese embassy in London said Yan's next of kin have been informed and will be provided with supports for coping with the aftermath.
