In a standoff with police near the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR in Sai Wan, protesters repeatedly made some noise by clashing umbrellas and metal poles to challenge the police.
The unauthorized protest started at around 4 pm after thousands of people gathered at Chater Garden of Central District, Hong Kong, and occupied a major road in a procession toward Wan Chai. Traffic was delayed.
Another group of protesters headed toward Sheung Wan. Some shouted that their target was the Liaison Office. A few headed to Sogo, a major shopping mall in Causeway Bay.
