Chinese Taipei's Kuo claims women's weightlifting 59kg gold at Tokyo 2020

TOKYO - Chinese Taipei weightlifter Kuo Hsing-Chun showcased her commanding advantage in the women's 59kg en route to a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games here on Tuesday.
Kuo managed 103kg in the snatch, 133kg in the clean and jerk for a 236kg total, all new Olympic records.
Polina Guryeva of Turkmenistan bagged a silver medal with 217kg. Host weightlifter Mikiko Andoh claimed a bronze at 214kg.
