Wuhu to host aviation-themed marathon

A news conference for the 2025 Wuhu Marathon was held on Wednesday, inviting runners nationwide to participate in the nation’s only aviation-themed marathon, set to take place on March 30 in Wuhu city, Anhui province.
Participants will race through Wanzhi district, where the city’s airport is located, experiencing a route that blends modern technology and transitional vibe with a mix of urban bustle and suburban tranquility. Loyal runners who have participated in three consecutive races in Wuhu will be awarded a plane assembly model.
The introduction of the Chinese Athletics Association’s 10K elite run series to Wuhu will attract more elite and advanced runners, with all times and records certified by the association. The half and full marathon routes have been optimized to reduce elevation changes, offering participants the chance to set personal bests.
After the race, runners can enjoy special discounts on local catering, accommodation and trips.
