Naval vessel formation to offer Hong Kong residents an up-close look

A naval vessel formation comprised of aircraft carrier Shandong, CNS Yan'an, and CNS Zhanjiang, as well as missile frigate Yuncheng will visit the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from July 3 to 7, the Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday.
The visit was approved by the Central Military Commission, and the formation will host a series of open visits and cultural exchange activities during this period to offer Hong Kong residents a more direct and deeper understanding of the mainland's advancements in national defense and military development in the new era, the ministry said in an online release.
