China Eastern to resume Shanghai-Delhi flights

Direct flights between Shanghai in East China and Delhi, India, will be restored starting November 9, China Eastern Airlines announced.
The Shanghai-Delhi flights will operate every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, with return flights departing Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport later the same day (local time).
The new route is considered one of the most strategically significant air links between China and India. As India's political, economic, and cultural center, Delhi maintains close cooperation with China in multiple sectors, including trade, technology, education and tourism.
The restoration of this route is expected to encourage more people-to-people exchanges, as well as economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Tickets for the Shanghai-Delhi flights are available on China Eastern's official website and through the airline's mobile app.
