A sense of belonging sometimes inspires an athlete to fight hard for his home glory. But what if he's not representing where he is from?

A lot of cash and the promise of advanced coaching and better training facilities are how some athletes are lured away from their home provinces for the National Games.

According to a Beijing Youth Daily report, the transfer fee will reach as much as 300,000 yuan ($49,010), with some star athletes getting even higher pay.
