報(bào)道中biopic就是“名人傳記影視片”，是“biographical picture”的縮寫(xiě)形式。有時(shí)，biopic也可寫(xiě)做biographical film。當(dāng)然，“傳記影片”往往帶有虛構(gòu)情節(jié)。
自上世紀(jì)80年代起，“名人傳記影視片"逐漸獲得西方觀眾的青睞。拍攝于1999年的"Man on the moon”（《月亮上的人》），講述了喜劇之王Andy Kaufman的傳奇人生，被認(rèn)為是傳記影片的杰作。
