On August 22, a Hefei cultural and tourism integration and development symposium was held at the government affair center in the city of Hefei, Anhui province.
The symposium invited 20 cultural enterprises and institutions. It covered topics such as performances, cultural heritage, folk customs and creative communities. Several enterprises signed contracts at the symposium.
According to Lin Cun'an, head of the Hefei Publicity Department, the integration of culture and tourism is in line with current trends. Hefei boasts both exceptional historical and cultural resources and amazing scenery. The integration is expected to help preserve and publicize local culture as well as boost tourism development.
