As the National Day holiday approaches, Hefei city in Anhui province is planning to launch a 'culture combo' that will include the first Cultural Activity Week.
The aim of the Cultural Activity Week is to involve more citizens in the celebration of National Day. Various activities such as live performances, calligraphy, painting and photography exhibitions will be held during the week. While cultural squares and exhibition centers in the city display artwork to citizens, performance groups in the city will hold concerts themed around Hefei in universities.
To get closer to art, citizens can go to Hefei Yaming Art Museum, Kurume Art Museum, or the Anhui International Convention and Exhibition Center, where calligraphy and painting exhibitions will be held. Also, Hampus Lindwall, a prestigious organist from Sweden, will hold his recital in Hefei Theater.
