Yu’s motto is “Treat people with sincerity and good intentions”. He’s a modest person who believes that there is always another, higher mountain to climb and that people can advance over time, as long as they keep reflecting on themselves and pursue perfection. It’s only in this way that they take full advantage of team power and advance society in a positive way.
In speaking about the future of the Hong Kong Federation of Overseas Chinese Associations, Yu said, “Despite their different industries and locations, the overseas Chinese will play a greater, more significant role in the new era and will work to become a bridge that connects the mainland with Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, as well as other countries. They will promote exchanges and cooperation in all areas between Hong Kong and the mainland and participate in the mainland’s modernization. Meanwhile, they will strengthen the connection with Southeast Asia and the Chinese and work for the peaceful reunification of the motherland.
