Jiaozhou Bay New Industrial Zone is located in Qingdao's core area. The planning area is 75 square kilometers. It neighbors the Jiaozhou Bay expressway in the north, the Yang River in the south, the Huangdao section of the Jiaozhou Bay expressway in the west, and the Dagu River in the east.

The Jiaozhou Bay industrial zone highlights its coastal features by following the instructions of Qingdao's development strategy. It is constructing a modern, high-efficiency, ecological garden industrial agglomeration area and Binhai new town.

The zone plans to develop leisure tourism and the cultural creation industry in the South Shao Sea and to the north of Yingli Road (an area of 10 square kilometers). It also seeks to develop an equipment manufacturing industry base and warehousing logistics optoelectronic industry base that mainly includes a new type of semiconductor lighting industrial base, automotive accessories, shipbuilding parts, and large power supply and distribution equipment. It will be located to the east of the Jiaozhou Bay expressway and the Jiaohuang railway. It will also build a modern water city, upscale residential houses, villas, trade service area and leisure resort on both sides of the Binhai highway and along the banks of the Yang River and Yuejin River.
