Emergency management authorities in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, Guangdong province, lifted suspensions of work, business operations, production, public transportation, and classes on Wednesday afternoon, as the intensity of Typhoon Ragasa has gradually weakened.

Meteorological authorities in both cities have also downgraded their red typhoon warning signal, as the typhoon moved away in a western direction.

Starting 4 pm on Wednesday, work, business operations, production, public transportation, and classes would be gradually resumed across Shenzhen, according to the city's emergency management bureau.

The suspensions will be lifted in Guangzhou starting at 6 pm on Wednesday, the city's emergency management authorities said.

Airports in Shenzhen are to resume flight operations starting at 8 pm on Wednesday. As of 4 pm, flights have already departed from other locations to arrive in Shenzhen, with arrivals expected at night.

Earlier at noon, authorities in Chaozhou, Shanwei, and Jieyang also lifted similar suspension measures, as the typhoon had moved away.
