BEIJING -- The Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), China's top anti-graft body, on Friday convened to study the guiding principles from the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.

Li Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the CCDI, presided over the meeting, urging disciplinary inspection and supervisory authorities to thoroughly study and implement the principles from the plenum.

They should align their thinking and actions with the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee, and remain steadfast in advancing the full and rigorous governance of the Party to provide strong guarantee for achieving the economic and social development goals of the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), said Li.

Speaking of the CPC Central Committee's recommendations adopted at the plenum for formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan, Li said the document serves as a new call to action and a comprehensive plan to build on the momentum and advance Chinese modernization.

Urging for a full, accurate and comprehensive grasp of the principles of the document, Li called on disciplinary inspection and supervisory bodies to ensure accountability by strengthening political oversight, and to safeguard high-quality development by improving Party conduct, enforcing Party discipline and fighting corruption.

The fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee was held from Monday to Thursday.
